# Messaging registration

> Prepare business details, opt-in evidence and filing charges.

Last updated: October 8, 2026.

Before you text deals from a US local business number, prepare your business details, your actual opt-in process, and examples of the messages you intend to send. Carrier registration identifies your business and texting program. Paying a registration fee does not buy approval or permission to text your buyers list.

A2P means application-to-person messaging; 10DLC refers to a ten-digit local number. The US carrier registration system concerns application messaging to US recipients through local numbers. Other number types have different requirements.

DispoIQ subscriptions are for US businesses. Messaging destinations are limited to the US and Canada through routes actually enabled for your workspace. This guide does not enable a plan feature, add a charge, or change your agreement.

## 1. Get your information ready

The current DispoIQ registration intake requires a business with a US EIN. It does not offer a no-tax-ID registration path. Have an authorized workspace administrator complete the registration for the business that will send the messages.

| Information | What to prepare |
| - | - |
| Business identity | Exact legal name associated with your EIN, your public business name, organization type and industry |
| EIN and address | Your nine-digit EIN and accurate business address; use the legal name on your IRS CP 575 notice or 147C letter |
| Authorized contact | A person who can answer questions about the business and its texting: name, role, work email and mobile number |
| Website | Your live business website, with working links to your business's privacy notice and messaging terms |
| Program | Who will receive the texts, what they will cover and whether they recur |
| Opt-in evidence | The real collection page or process, disclosures presented, and records of each recipient's affirmative written agreement |
| Message samples | Two examples that match the business, program and permission you describe |

Your business's legal name must match its tax registration. A newly issued EIN may not yet appear in validation databases; ask support about a mismatch rather than repeatedly paying to submit unchanged details.

Make the opt-in process available for review. Keep your website disclosures accurate, including the restriction against sharing mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Do not post a promise your actual data practices contradict. DispoIQ's own Terms and Privacy Policy do not replace your business's notices to its recipients.

## 2. Open Carrier registration

Open **Settings → Messaging → Carrier registration**, or visit the [registration page](https://dispoiq.app/admin/settings/messaging/registration) while signed in. If you cannot access it or the page says your account cannot file, contact support before spending. Access to an internal or demonstration workspace does not establish that a paid customer can submit.

For a new registration, the intake starts with business-use and EIN questions. Answer for your actual business. The guided steps collect:

1. Your business information.
2. The authorized contact.
3. What you will text about.
4. How recipients agreed to those texts.
5. Two sample messages.
6. A review of your answers and applicable charges before submission.

Review every suggested description and sample. Selecting a purpose can generate wording; it does not make that wording true. Replace claims that do not match your program. Do not describe promotional deal alerts as transaction updates or claim a signup form exists when it does not.

Saving or continuing through the intake is different from filing with a provider. Check the page's save status before leaving. A submission is a separate action that can incur a charge.

Use only the actions actually available for your authorized workspace and the stage shown. Check the save result and the separate filing result; saving answers is not proof that an existing submitted filing was corrected. If access, saving or a stage action is blocked, contact **[support@dispoiq.app](mailto:support@dispoiq.app)** with the existing reference rather than starting another registration. Support will record the issue, check your authority, review the saved and filed information and coordinate authorized technical handling. Before resubmitting a rejection, confirm which existing filing will be corrected and submitted, whether the action instead creates a new registration, and the applicable charge. Do not assume that returning to the intake or changing a saved answer updates an already-filed campaign. Keep affected sends paused while the required registration remains unresolved.

## 3. Describe the permission you actually have

For customer-initiated SMS/MMS, obtain prior express written permission covering your identified business, the recipient's number and the intended subject. Describe the actual way you collect it. Oral agreement, a phone number on a transaction document, a purchased list or a skip-traced number is not a substitute. A directly relevant reply to a recipient-initiated text in the same conversation is a narrow exception where law and provider rules allow; it does not enroll that person in recurring texts.

Follow the [Collecting & Recording Messaging Consent guide](/help/messaging-consent) to prepare your disclosures and records. If an intake option or suggested description does not reflect that written-permission requirement, stop and ask support how to describe your compliant process. Do not choose a weaker option to get a filing accepted.

Samples should identify your business, match the program and give a clear opt-out instruction. Use your actual help contact and truthful links. Preserve the required disclosures when shortening a sample. Registration descriptions are not evidence that every person on a list opted in.

## 4. Follow each registration stage

After a filing, the registration page is designed to show separate stages:

| Stage | What it concerns |
| - | - |
| Business profile | Business identity and authorized-contact information |
| Brand registration | The business identity registered for carrier messaging |
| Sending lane | The route used for the workspace's registered messaging |
| Campaign registration | The purpose, message examples and opt-in process for that texting program |

Follow the next eligible action shown on the page. These stages are separate: submitting the initial intake does not mean the brand and campaign were both submitted or approved. Buying or holding a number also does not mean it is ready to send under an approved campaign.

| Status | What to do |
| - | - |
| Not started or Draft | Complete and review the required information before an authorized submission |
| In review | Wait for the decision; do not submit the same filing again to speed it up |
| Approved | Check the remaining stages and the number's eligibility before sending |
| Rejected | Read the reasons, correct the actual problem, and review any new charge before resubmitting |
| Suspended or an unfamiliar status | Pause the affected sending and contact support |

No fixed approval time, throughput or delivery outcome is promised. An Approved status is not legal approval, recipient consent or a guarantee that every message will pass carrier filtering.

## 5. Check charges before submitting or resubmitting

Check the applicable **customer quote** for the action, who pays it, whether it is a hold or completed charge, and any recurring campaign or number cost. Do not calculate your DispoIQ charge from a provider's public fee table or assume every registration stage is covered by one payment.

A rejected filing can still incur a charge. Correcting and resubmitting can require another charge; do not assume every retry is paid, free, sponsored or refunded. Ordinary nonrefundability is subject to billing-error, applicable-law and DispoIQ early-service-ending exceptions under the [Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy](/policies/billing-refunds). See [Usage Pricing & Messaging Fees](/help/usage-pricing) for estimates, wallet holds and settlement.

The feature-specific offer you expressly accept must identify the billable event and charges, including how a rejected filing, correction, resubmission or pending outcome affects them. Correcting an existing rejected campaign and creating a new campaign are different actions; neither its label nor another business's fee table determines your accepted charge. Subscription billing starts when paid app access begins and continues while messaging registration is pending or rejected.

A wallet reservation is a hold, not a completed charge. An uncertain filing or amount needs review of the existing attempt; do not treat it as an approved filing, a final debit or proof that a second submission is safe. Support will compare the action and offer you accepted with the existing filing, holds and charges, coordinate authorized billing or technical review, and explain the confirmed outcome or what remains unresolved. We will release an unincurred reservation when that is established and correct verified billing errors. This does not make every rejected filing free, promise that every resubmission carries a fee, or apply the messaging delivery-outcome rule to registration.

All applicable correction and refund rights remain preserved, including legally required refunds and expressly owed refunds for qualifying DispoIQ-caused full-access suspension, material uncured breach or DispoIQ ending paid service early. This guide establishes no new fee, sponsored review round, automatic credit, additional payment authorization or resolution deadline.

If the browser times out or the result is unclear, check the existing filing and contact support before repeating a paid action. A timeout does not prove that no filing or charge occurred. Do not create a second brand, change workspaces or use another number to bypass a rejection.

## 6. Sending to Canada needs its own checks

US A2P 10DLC registration is not a Canadian messaging approval or a CASL safe harbor. Follow the Canadian consent, identification and unsubscribe requirements described in the [consent guide §6](/help/messaging-consent#6-check-canadian-requirements-separately), along with provider rules and the approved route's restrictions.

The current DispoIQ number-search implementation is limited to US local numbers. Permission to send to eligible Canadian destinations does not establish that you can purchase a Canadian sender number or register a Canadian business through this EIN-based intake. Do not assume that every number beginning with +1 has the same destination, rate or eligibility.

Before relying on a number or approval, check that the actual sending identity, registration association, destination and channel are supported for your workspace. Ask **[support@dispoiq.app](mailto:support@dispoiq.app)** to review missing or conflicting readiness information and the rate you would accept. A US local-number registration does not authorize a toll-free or other route, enable MMS, or establish Canadian business registration or number purchase. Use only the route confirmed available and meet its separate requirements; pause the affected send if required eligibility or recipient permission remains unresolved. See [Phone Number Management](https://docs.dispoiq.app/help/phone-numbers) for qualified number and readiness guidance.

## 7. Get help with a rejection or blocked filing

Contact **[support@dispoiq.app](mailto:support@dispoiq.app)** with your workspace, the affected stage, the displayed status or rejection reason, and any filing or charge reference. Explain what you corrected. Ask for a secure submission method before sending EIN letters, personal contact information or recipient consent evidence.

Do not send passwords, payment credentials or an entire contacts list. A support request does not itself suspend a campaign or erase a restriction. Keep affected sends paused until the issue is resolved.

The [Messaging & Communications Policy](/policies/messaging) and [STOP, HELP & Suppression Lists guide](/help/stop-help-suppression) explain ongoing responsibilities after registration. This guide does not itself incorporate a policy or change your accepted agreement.
